Guide Exploration Ltd. is engaged in the exploration for and development and production of crude oil and natural gas in Western Canada. The Company's principal properties include Peace Area, Smoky Area, Cherhill Area and Other Areas. The Company's Peace Area is located in Townships 73 to 82, and Ranges 17W5M to 01W6M, and is approximately 80 kilometers northeast of Grande Prairie, Alberta. The Smoky Area is located primarily within Townships 71 to 76, and Ranges 1 to 4 W6M, and is approximately 15 kilometers northeast of Grande Prairie, Alberta. Major properties comprising the Smoky Area include Bezanson, Kakut, Kakut West, Smoky Heights, and Dimsdale. The Cherhill Area is located primarily within Townships 54 to 58, and Ranges 3 to 7 W5M, and is approximately 50 kilometers northeast of Edmonton, Alberta. Within these areas, (Worsley, Senex/Sawn Lake, and Saskatchewan) it drilled seven wells, and cased all of these, during the year ended December 31, 2011.
