Geovic Mining Corp. is an exploration and development company. The Company is focused on developing the cobalt project through its 60.5% ownership of Geovic Cameroon PLC. Geovic Cameroon's Mine Permit covers 1,250 square kilometers in Cameroon, Africa, and provides production rights to seven large cobalt-nickel-manganese deposits. The Company's Caledonia project consists of chromite deposits in the mineral-rich sands along the coast of New Caledonia. The project contains approximately 25% of nickel reserves. Geovic holds equity interests in various exploration projects, which are a 100% interest in Geovic Nouvelle Caledonie SAS's Chromite Project in New Caledonia, a 100% interest in Geovic's Chromite Project in Papua New Guinea, a 100% interest in Geovic's Arizona Gold Project, and a 10%interest in the Wind Mountain Rare Metals.
