GeoPetro Resources Company is an independent oil and gas company. The Company is engaged in the exploration and development of oil and natural gas reserves. It holds interests in various projects in the United States and Australia. Its projects include the Madisonville Project and the Lokern Prospect. The Madisonville (Rodessa) Field is located approximately 100 miles north of Houston in Madison County, Texas. The Company holds interest in approximately four production wells drilled to the Rodessa formation at approximately 12,000 feet of depth; 100% working interest in an injection well, and 12.5 square miles of three-dimensional (3-D) seismic data. The Lokern Prospect is located in the southern San Joaquin Basin in Kern County, California. The Lokern prospect is located north of Elk Hills and Tule Elk fields, which have combined reserves of over 1.5 billion barrels. Its subsidiaries include Redwood Energy Company, Redwood Energy Production, L.P. and Madisonville Midstream LLC.
