Investment objective
The First Trust Mid Cap Core AlphaDEX Fund is an exchange-traded fund. The investment objective of the Fund is to seek investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield, before fees and expenses, of an equity index called the NASDAQ AlphaDEX Mid Cap Core Index. The NASDAQ AlphaDEX Mid Cap Core Index is an enhanced index created and administered by Nasdaq, Inc. (Nasdaq) which employs the AlphaDEX stock selection methodology to select stocks from the NASDAQ US 600 Mid Cap Index that meet certain criteria.
