Vale reports that the B3/B4 dam, in Macacos, was decharacterized in 2024, completely removed, and the risks associated with the former structure no longer exist. The interventions currently being carried out in the area are not related to dams or to the construction of tailings piles. The images released by the press show a localized, isolated movement of the slope on natural terrain, a situation identified beforehand and for which works are already underway.
