Purpose 00

Giving shape to "Waku-Waku (Excitement)" by connecting people and technology

We connect a large number of people across the globe.

We connect leading-edge technology and ideas that might seem unrelated at first.

We do this while expanding our circle of sympathy and diving deeper into our imaginations.

Pu r p o s e

A rich network of connections is the source of new realizations and newfound value. By enjoying change, we discover the new possibilities that lie ahead.

By embracing excitement, we envision the areas we should be pursuing.

We break free from the present to propose a "future expectation which people can look forward to Waku-Waku (Excitement)."

We then set forth together toward a bold transformation that will give this future shape.

Every day, we at RYODEN are working to evolve our abilities to connect and give shape so that, like we have in the past, we can continue to move forward together with all our stakeholders toward a future full of happiness and "Waku-Waku (Excitement)".

Our Future Growth Path 00

Ryoden Corporation was set up just after the end of the World War II in 1947.

We started off as a Mitsubishi Electric sales agent, and in the 1970s, we ventured into business diversification as a technical trading company trading in semiconductors, elevators, and other equipment.

After an era of rapidly globalizing our business from the 1990s, and as part of our second inauguration stage of business since 2010, we have been pursuing further corporate transformation with the aim of becoming a 100-year company.

How should we align our perspective with our customers and enable them to perceive value from our engagement with suppliers?

At RYODEN, we do not pursue the expansion of business scale. Rather, we seek to be unique, differentiating ourselves from other companies by providing customers with solutions to sustainably enhance corporate value.

From selling products to selling solutions. During the term of the previous medium-term management plan, we faced changes in the business environment that far exceeded our assumptions, and the results fell short of our targets. Under the new medium- to long-term management plan, we envision a business strategy spanning the next decade, and we will implement management aimed at being a

100-year company. To achieve this, we must expand beyond the sales agent business to transform ourselves into a team that seeks new challenges.

RYODENʼs innovation is value co-creation. We work to connect technologies and needs in

Japan and overseas, creating and providing new value together with our stakeholders. In this way, we put into practice the power to connect set forth in our purpose. This will be the engine that drives company-wide value creation, value provision, and value cycle under the medium-term management plan.
