In 2025, Generali posted adjusted net profit up 14.5% to a record €4.31bn. Adjusted earnings per share rose sharply to €2.85 (+16.2%). Over the period, operating profit increased 9.7% to €8bn, a record driven by standout performance in the property and casualty segment (P&C, +20%). The life and asset & wealth management segments posted gains of 4.3% and 1.5%, respectively.

Gross written premiums at the Italian insurer rose 3.6% to nearly €98.12bn, led by the P&C segment (+7.6%),

At the same time, net inflows in life stood out as among the best in the sector, up 42.5% to €13.5bn. Growth was driven by health & protection, multi-asset savings products, and unit-linked products. New business value increased to €3.1bn (+6.2%).

"Our record results in 2025 mark a very successful year in our 'Lifetime Partner 27: Driving Excellence' plan and confirm the ongoing value creation for all our stakeholders," CEO Philippe Donnet said.

In line with its distribution commitments, Generali will propose a dividend increase of 14.7% to €1.64 per share for 2025. The group will also launch a €500m share buyback program during 2026.
