The International Council of Toy Industries (ICTI) is a nonprofit organization representing national toy associations from about 20 countries across five continents. The private company is based in New York, NY. Its members include manufacturers, retailers, and designers that collectively produce a significant portion of the world’s toys. ICTI promotes the value of play, advances toy safety standards, supports factory workers' rights and well-being, encourages social responsibility, and works to reduce trade barriers within the toy, play, games, and youth entertainment industry. The organization has expanded its mission to include ethical manufacturing, fair working conditions, environmental responsibility, and combating counterfeit toys. ICTI developed a code of conduct and business practices and runs the ICTI Ethical Supply Chain Program, which collaborates with industry partners to address social sustainability in toy manufacturing.
