Prior to joining Avalon Advisors, Robert was Chief Investment Officer for Amegy Bank NA in Houston.
Robert’s earlier multi-decade investment management career included senior level positions as Managing Director of J.P.
Morgan Chase & Co. and Head of U.S.
Equity Funds, Research and Trading for Chase Asset Management.
Robert began his equity fund management career after completing the Investment Division Management Training Program at the Bank of New York in 1979.
Robert holds a B.A. in Economics from Vassar College and an MBA in Finance from the New York University Stern Graduate School of Business.
