Rick J. D'Augustine

Mr. D'Augustine is an Advisor for Spring Mill Venture Partners.
Since 1999 he has been President, CEO and a Director of UMD, Inc., a venture-backed drug delivery company focusing on women's health issues.
Just prior to joining UMD, he spent five years as a group director at Senmed Medical Ventures, a private medical venture capital and business development firm.
Earlier in his career, he spent sixteen years with Johnson and Johnson.
Mr. D'Augustine was a founding board member of Ethicon Endo-Surgery, initially serving as Vice President of Administration and CFO.
He was a founding board member of Enable Medical Corp., a private, high-technology medical device company.
He was also a founding board member of Atricure, Inc., an Enable spin-off focused on surgically treating atrial fibrillation that is now a public company.
He also recently served on the Board of Directors at endoVia Medical, Inc., a venture-backed surgical robotics company that was sold to Hansen Medical prior to their public offering in 2006.
In addition to his role at UMD, Inc., he also currently serves as Chairman of the Board of SpineForm LLC, which is developing a spinal implant system to treat progressive scoliosis.
Mr. D'Augustine has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA in Finance from Seton Hall University.
