Rachel joined Oxford University Innovation in January 2021 as an Assistant Licensing & Ventures Manager (ALVM) and she is working within the physical sciences team.
As an ALVM, Rachel provides support across the technology transfer process, through initial assessment of projects, to IP protection and management.
She assists Licencing and Ventures Managers (LVMs) with licensing technologies to industry, supporting translational funding applications and working together with academics starting their own spinout companies.
Rachel has an MPhys degree in Physics from Durham University and is a fully qualified European patent attorney and a Chartered UK patent attorney.
She joined the patent profession in 2013 and gained experience working with technologies in mechanical, electronic and chemical fields.
She spent 3 years working as an in-house patent counsel in Germany before joining OUI.
