Prior to his career in finance, Dr. Mende held research positions at Brown and M.I.T.
In 2002, he co-founded Fort Hill Capital Management, a quantitative hedge fund specializing in equity derivatives, and he serves as its Director of Research.
Prior to Fort Hill, he developed quantitative equity strategies for an institutional asset management firm and designed trading, risk and portfolio management systems for a global technology consulting firm.
