Mr. Patrick S.
Cassidy, CFA MBA, is a Chief Investment Officer of Fixed Income & Head of Trading & Capital Markets at Charles Schwab Investment Management, Inc. He is responsible for all aspects of the firm’s fixed income solutions and trading activities supporting Schwab Funds, Schwab ETFs, and Schwab Asset Management’s separately managed account strategies.
Prior to assuming the Chief Investment Officer role in 2023, he held leadership positions with Schwab Asset Management in the areas of Credit Research, Investment Risk and Proxy/Investment Stewardship.
Before joining Schwab in 2012, Mr. Cassidy served as an Investment Leader at Nationwide Mutual Insurance.
In this role, he was responsible for managing investment grade, high yield, structured product, and municipal teams.
Prior to his tenure at Nationwide, he served as the Head of Investment Grade and Municipal Research at T.
Rowe Price Group.
He earned a Master of Business Administration in finance from New York University, Leonard N.
Stern School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in finance from Pennsylvania State University.
He is a CFA charterholder.
