Prior to joining ComVest, Mr. Stayton served as a Senior Vice President at Citi Capital a division of Citigroup responsible for marketing and loan origination in the Southeast region for senior secured facilities ranging from $10mm to $100mm.
For 16 years prior to Citi Capital he was Director and Senior Vice President at Wachovia Capital Finance/ Congress Financial Corporation responsible for managing and facilitating the marketing, loan origination and underwriting process of asset based loan transactions ranging in size from $10mm to $500mm.
During his tenure at Wachovia he and his team were successful in growing the loan portfolio from $75mm in outstanding loans to over $ 800mm.
Throughout his working career which includes other national and regional banks Mr. Stayton has held positions in portfolio management, loan workout and restructuring as well as asset base and corporate lending.
Mr. Stayton has an undergraduate degree in business from La Salle University and is an active member and co-founder of the Secured Lenders Association of South Florida as well as a member of both the Turnaround Management Association and Association for Corporate Growth.
