Mr. Michael A. Weinstock is an Executive Chairman at Monarch Alternative Capital LP and a Chief Executive Officer at Monarch Alternative Capital (Private Equity).
He oversees the Firm’s vision and strategy.
In his capacity as Chairman of Monarch’s various Investment Committees, he advises Firm leadership and guides investing activities.
Mr. Weinstock serves on the Investment Committee for each of Monarch’s strategies, in addition to being a member of the Firm’s Partnership Committee and observer of the Operational Executive Committee.
Prior to founding Monarch in 2002, Mr. Weinstock was a Managing Director at Lazard and served as Co-Portfolio Manager of the Lazard Debt Recovery Funds.
He serves on the Investment Committee of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Metro-West New Jersey.
He graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, summa cum laude, with a B.S.
in Economics.
He later earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
