The Crossroads Foundation is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to supporting promising high school scholars—primarily from low- and middle-income families and students of color—through comprehensive programs that foster academic achievement, college and career readiness, personal and social wellness, and tuition assistance. The non-profit company is based in Pittsburgh, PA. The foundation partners with six Catholic college preparatory high schools in the greater area, providing scholarships funded largely through educational improvement tax credit (EITC) and opportunity scholarship tax credit (OSTC) programs. Crossroads offers a holistic support model including year-round academic enrichment, summer courses, peer and professional mentoring, college coaching, internships, and community service opportunities. The foundation emphasizes nurturing each scholar’s unique talents, leadership development, and commitment to service, with a strong focus on family engagement through resources, advocacy, and the parent leadership & advisory council. Additional initiatives include a structured 9th-grade "scholar mindset" program, virtual wellness resources, and community-building events. The foundation encourages community involvement by recruiting volunteer mentors and college coaches to guide scholars through academic and career pathways. The company was founded by Susie Gillespie.
