Meyer Handelman Co.’s fundamental investment approach begins with review of current macroeconomic data to determine basic general policy toward equity and fixed-income investments. The firm invests mainly in exchange-listed equities, municipal bonds and US government bills, notes and bonds. On occasion, they also invest in equity securities traded over the counter, foreign issues, corporate debt securities, CDs and commercial paper. Meyer Handelman Co. does not invest in IPOs, nor do they advise on hedge funds or commodities.

Aviemore Asset Management manages the ETF Market Opportunity Fund, a non-diversified mutual fund. They invest in a carefully constructed portfolio of ETFs that seeks capital appreciation. The firm's investment process begins with fundamental analysis to eliminate ETFs that are overpriced or difficult to trade. Aviemore then employs quantitative methods, including Sharpe ratio and momentum analysis to eliminate ETFs with risk levels that are not justified by their expected return. Aviemore seeks to identify ETFs and stocks attractive valuations on several metrics including price movement, volatility, p/e ratios, growth rates, price-to-cash flow and p/b ratios. Portfolios are diversified with the objective of avoiding ETF combinations with redundant exposure to certain stocks or sectors. The ETF Market Opportunity Fund invests primarily in ETFs, but may invest directly in common stocks without regard to market-cap. The Fund may hold all or a portion of its assets cash or cash-equivalents like money market funds, CDs, short-term debt obligations and repurchase agreements, either due to pending investments or when investment opportunities are limited. The Fund also invests in ETFs that hold ADRs and may engage in short-term trading. The mix of fixed-income and equity ETFs may be substantially over-weighted or under-weighted based on current market conditions.

GPS reviews the global economic landscape to ascertain when and if indicators support the purchase or sale of specific types of investments for client portfolios on a daily basis. Some of the indicators that the firm may use in their decision-making process includes: investor sentiment, money supply, consumer confidence, industrial production, consumption and distribution, inventories and orders, inflation, employment, construction, yield curve/interest rates, monetary policy, and political factors, among others. Once GPS has determined that the global economic landscape supports the purchase of investments for client portfolios, it begins selecting specific assets. In doing so, GPS invests primarily in no-load or load-waived open-end mutual funds or ETFs. The firm allocates assets among various investments taking into account the overall investment strategy selected by their clients.
