M. Mokammel Haque

M.
Mokammel Haque is the founder of Halima Khatun Girl's High School, established in 1993.
He is currently the Chairman of Kabi Mozammel Haque Foundation and a Member of the Diabetic Association of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Economic Association, Bangla Academy, Underprivileged Childrens Educational Program (since 1996), and President of the Commonwealth Society of Bangladesh (since 2015).
Mr. Haque has held former positions as Chairman of Janata Insurance Co. Ltd. (1997-1998), Executive Chairman-Investment Board of the Government of Bangladesh (1994-1995, 1999-2001), Vice-Chairman of the Export Promotion Bureau Bangladesh (1975-1980), Executive Chairman of the Board of Investment Bangladesh (1994-1995), Director General of the Government of Bangladesh, Independent Director of Mutual Trust Bank Plc, Director of the Commonwealth Secretariat (1980-1986), Executive Director of Unicef Bangladesh (1977-1980), Director General of the Integrated Rural Development Programme (1970-1974), Independent Director of Pioneer Insurance Co. Ltd., Secretariat-London of Rupali Bank Plc (1980-1986), Vice President of the World Trade Centers Association (1977-1979), Secretary of the Bangladesh Ministry of Education (1974-1975), Secretary of the Bangladesh Ministry of Commerce, Secretary of the Bangladesh Ministry of Land (1986-1992), and Secretary of the Bangladesh Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (1991-1992).
Mr. Haque obtained his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Dhaka in 1956 and 1957, respectively.
