The American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) is a non-profit, independent evaluation organization that develops and administers the emergency medicine certification examination for physicians who have met the ABEM credentialing requirements. The organization is based in East Lansing, MI and was founded in 1976. ABEM-certified emergency physicians participate in the continuing certification process to stay current and maintain knowledge through clinically relevant learning and assessment. ABEM strives to ensure that its certification processes are fair, valid, and reliable, and its mission is to ensure the highest standards in the specialty of emergency medicine.

The Friends of the National Library of Medicine is an organization that supports the National Library of Medicine in extending medical knowledge and educating the public about NIH's initiatives. The non-profit company is based in Washington. The National Library of Medicine provides information from 86 databases and collects Real World Data and Electronic Health Records in Clinical Research about patient health status or healthcare. The organization will honor Carla D. Hayden, PhD, 14th Librarian of Congress, with the PAUL G. ROGERS AWARD FOR PUBLIC SERVICE at their 2023 Awards Gala. The National Library of Medicine has published a new illustrated history book in partnership with Arcadia Publishing.
