The Malaysian Palm Oil Association (MPOA), established in 1999, is an industry organization representing the Malaysian palm oil sector and other plantation crops such as rubber, cocoa, tea, and coconut. The private company is based in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. It acts as a unified voice for plantation owners managing at least 40 hectares, focusing on long-term profitability, sustainable growth, and addressing industry issues including labor shortages, yield improvement, mechanization, pricing, pest control, environmental concerns, and plantation security. MPOA is governed by a council and operates through committees dedicated to stakeholders’ affairs, sustainability, research and development, and market intelligence.
