Kip Kitur, Ph.D., is a Vice President on the Private Equity team.
Prior to joining OrbiMed, Dr. Kitur was a Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group, where he worked in the Healthcare practice area.
Dr. Kitur obtained a Ph.D.
in Pharmacology from Columbia University, where he researched the role of cell death in the pathogenesis of Staphylococcus aureus infection.
While at Columbia, Dr. Kitur received the Brian F.
Hoffman Award for Academic Excellence in Pharmacology and was an HHMI MIG Fellow.
Prior to Columbia, Dr. Kitur worked on developing vaccines for type 1 diabetes and as an equity trader.
He received his A.B. degree in Chemistry from Harvard College.
