In 1985, Mr. Joseph Donaldson began his professional career with Price Waterhouse in Atlanta, Georgia.
From 1988 to 1990, he worked in the investment bank audit group of Citibank’s New York office.
From 1990 to 1998, he worked in real estate workouts at Lehman Brothers, Inc. and then as an Analyst in Lehman’s equity research department.
He joined the buy-side in 1998 joining First Manhattan Company, a value-oriented investment management firm.
While there, Mr. Donaldson provided fundamentally based U.S.
equity research for the company’s 10 plus portfolio managers.
From 2001 to 2008, he worked as a Senior Equity Analyst at Steinberg Asset Management before joining Epoch Investment Partners in 2005 (several employees left Steinberg Asset Management to form Epoch Investment Partners).
While at Epoch, Joseph co-managed the firm’s small cap U.S.
equity product while also providing research support to the firm’s all cap U.S.
equity product.
In 2008, he joined McClain Value Management LLC, a Connecticut-based investment management firm, as a Partner and ran the firm’s small cap U.S.
equity product.
He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
