Heskett is a Senior Independent Director & Investment Consultant at Heartwood Wealth Management Ltd.
He spent spent 30 years working in the Baring Group, initially in the fields of corporate finance and banking, both in London and in the Far East.
For the 20 years up to his retirement in 2002, he worked in investment management.
In this capacity, he was a Founding Member of the Baring Asset Management board and was responsible for fixed income and balanced portfolio management, and for the management of portfolios for leading institutions in the UK, the USA and elsewhere.
He headed Baring Asset Management's sales and business development function from 1997 to 2002.
He joined Heartwood as an Independent Director & Investment Consultant in 2002.
He is also a Trustee of the ING UK Pension Plan and Chairman of its investment committee.
In the charitable world, he is a Director of the Intermediate Technological Development Group Limited and Practical Action, which aims to eradicate poverty in developing countries, He also sits on the Investment Committees of Imperial College, London University and the Chartered Accountants Benevolent Association.
