Mr. Schaufeld was formerly Executive Vice President of the Slater Fund, Rhode Island's state venture fund.
Previously, he served as the President and CEO of Mass Ventures, a western Massachusetts venture development company, and he was the founder of Incus Group, a CEO-based business acquisition organization.
He also was co-founder of Phoenix Controls Corporation which pioneered the manufacturing of air flow systems in critical laboratory and hospital environments.
Phoenix was recently sold to a Fortune 500 company.
Prior to that, he held senior functional responsibilities at a series of technology-based manufacturing companies.
Mr. Schaufeld was founder and first Chairman of the MIT Enterprise Forum in Cambridge, Massachusetts and serves on numerous boards of technology-based companies and several non-profit organizations, including the National Association of Corporate Directors and the Association for Corporate Growth.
Mr. Schaufeld has a BSME from New Jersey Institute of Technology, an MBA from Northeastern and attended MIT Sloan School of Management.
