Irene A. Chow has been Executive Chairman of Genelabs Technologies, Inc. since January 2007 and served as Chairman since April 1999, Chief Executive Officer from January 2001 to March 2004.
Dr. Chow was Acting Chief Executive Officer of Genelabs Technologies, Inc. until September 2, 2008.
From 1995 to March 1999, she was President and Chief Executive Officer of Genelabs Technologies.
Dr. Chow served as a Director of Genovate Biotechnology Co. Ltd. until 2006 and as Chairman until June 2005.
Prior to joining Genelabs, she held several positions at Ciba-Geigy Corporation, most recently as Senior Vice President of Drug Development for the Pharmaceuticals Division.
Prior to joining Ciba-Geigy, Dr. Chow served as an Associate Professor and Assistant Dean of Health Related Professions at Downstate Medical School, State University of New York.
She received a BA in Literature from National Taiwan University and an MA and a PhD in Biostatistics from the University of California, Berkeley.
