The firm focuses their research on the areas they believe are most likely to yield the best performing securities. Portfolio managers construct equity and fixed-income model portfolios in teams. For equity portfolios, the most important aspect of portfolio construction is stock selection as bottom-up decisions drive, to a large extent, a portfolio’s allocation to countries, sectors, and currencies. Their fixed income portfolios utilize both their top-down view of the world’s bond and currency markets and bottom-up investment selection process.
