David Edelson

Mr. David B. Edelson is an Independent Director at AutoNation, Inc., a Chief Financial Officer & Senior Vice President at Loews Corp. and a President at Central Synagogue. In addition to his role as Chief Financial Officer at Loews Corp., he is responsible for human resources and information technology. Mr. Edelson joined Loews as Senior Vice President in May 2005 and became Chief Financial Officer in May 2014. Before becoming Chief Financial Officer, he monitored the performance of Loews’s subsidiaries and focused on strategy, corporate finance, corporate development and investor relations. He is on the Board of Directors at AutoNation, Inc., The American Jewish Committee, Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion and Jewish Board of Family & Children's Services, Inc. Prior to Loews, Mr. Edelson was Executive Vice President and Corporate Treasurer of JPMorgan Chase & Co. He joined Chase’s global mergers & acquisitions group in 1997 and subsequently became Head of the Global Financial Institutions group before being named JPMorgan Chase’s Corporate Treasurer in 2001. Earlier in his career, Mr. David Edelson worked in the mergers & acquisitions and financial institutions groups at Goldman Sachs & Co. Mr. Edelson was also employed as a Chairman by CNA Surety Corp. He earned his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and graduated from Dartmouth College with an AB in English.
