Claude Haw

Mr. Claude Haw is Founder & Managing Partner at Venture Coaches Capital Corp., a Member at Professional Engineers Ontario, Chairman at DragonWave, Inc, a Member at IEEE Computer Society, President, Chief Executive Officer & Director at Ottawa Centre for Research & Innovation, Charter Member at TiE Ottawa, Founder at Mind Trust, and Founder at The Ottawa Network.
He is on the Board of Directors at Edgewater Wireless Systems, Inc., Ottawa Centre for Research & Innovation, and The Ottawa Chamber of Commerce.
He was President and CEO of OCRI (now Invest Ottawa) from 2009 to 2011.
Prior to founding Venture Coaches Capital in 2000, he was previously employed as General Partner by Skypoint Capital Corp., a Principal by Leigh Instruments Ltd., a Principal by Mitel Corp., a Principal by Newbridge Networks, Inc., and Vice President-Corporate Business Development by Alcatel Networks Corp.
He also served on the board at Mxi Technologies Ltd., Canada's Venture Capital & Private Equity Association, and Elliptic Technologies, Inc. He has a professional engineer with more than 30 years of experience and worked in a variety of roles in the high technology sector.
Mr. Haw holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Lakehead University.
He has completed the Canadian Securities Course and is a member of Professional Engineers of Ontario and IEEE.
Furthermore, he has completed the Institute of Corporate Directors, Directors Education Program.
