Mr. Boris Bakal focuses on investments in CEEMEA. Prior to joining Citi Venture Capital International in 2003 he was responsible for Sanford C.
Bernstein's utility investments in Europe and Asia.
He was Chief Investment Officer of The US Russia Investment Fund, a US$440 million private equity fund focused on Russia.
Prior to that, he worked as a Senior Consultant on developing and structuring IFC's direct investment activity in Russia.
Mr Bakal founded and developed Credit Suisse investment banking activity in the former Soviet Union.
He also worked for Salomon Brothers in the area of corporate finance in New York.
Boris holds an M.B.A. degree from Harvard Business School and B.S.
degree from UCLA.
