Axel Zehren

Mr. Axel Zehren is Chief Investment Officer at Allianz Life Insurance Co. of North America and Executive Director at Allianz Versicherungs AG.
Mr. Zehren joined Allianz as a money market dealer and cash manager in 1988.
His expertise has developed from more than 20 years of investment experience at a variety of companies with the Allianz Group.
He held various executive positions in the Group, including head of Allianz Deutschland-AG investment controlling and executive director of Allianz Versicherungs-AG, responsible for cash management, financial planning, liquidity planning, trading, and investment management.
He is originally from Saarburg, a small town located in the triangle of France, Germany, and Luxembourg.
Mr. Zehren earned a Bachelor of Arts in business management from Berufsakademie in Stuttgart, Germany.
He is also a member of the global AIM board, the supervisory board of IDS, and the chairman of the AZOA Benefit Pension Investment Committee (BPIC) that oversees the retirement assets of Allianz, AGCS, and AZFF.
