Dr. Comparini joined VKRM in 2007 to help evaluate potential investments and to assist VKRM’s portfolio companies with their business and corporate development.
His broad background, which includes more than 20 years experience establishing and managing businesses and technology operations, greatly enhances VKRM’s capabilities.
He has held positions of Venture Partner with Ridgewood Capital; V.P.
and GM for Siemens N.A. companies; Business Unit manager for Infineon Technologies; as well as those of V.P.
Sales & Marketing, V.P.
Operations, and Director of Engineering for several smaller, technology based companies.
Currently he serves as business advisor and member of boards of directors for early stage, technology based companies, including the board of InMage Systems, Inc. where he is Brocade Systems’ appointed director.
Dr. Comparini is an author of over 20 technical papers and conference presentations, and three patents.
He earned his Ph.D.
degree in Engineering and Applied Physics from Yale University and his MBA degree in Marketing and Finance from the University of Hartford.
Albert enjoys flying Citabrias and Cessnas and an occasional glass of fine wine.
