Prior to joining Southpaw in May 2008, Mr. Yesner was a Credit Strategist at Platinum Grove Asset Management, a multi-strategy hedge fund.
At Platinum Grove, Mr. Yesner focused on leveraged loans, high yield and distressed situations.
Before joining Platinum Grove, Mr. Yesner was a Senior Associate in the Leveraged and Acquisition Finance group at Morgan Stanley from July 2004 to January 2007, where he focused on structuring leveraged loans and bonds for non-investment grade companies in the Industrials sector.
From January 2002 to July 2004, Mr. Yesner was an associate in the Corporate Finance Group at Benedetto, Gartland & Company.
Mr. Yesner started his career as an accountant in the Audit Group at Arthur Andersen, LLP.
Mr. Yesner received his B.S.
in Accounting from the State University of New York at Albany (cum laude), and his MBA in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
