Property Casualty Insurers Association of America is a property/casualty trade association, representing around 1,000 member companies. It provides a responsible and effective voice on public policy questions affecting insurance products and services, fosters a competitive insurance marketplace for the benefit of insurers and consumers and provides members with quality products, information and services at a reasonable cost. The company provides public policy positions at four levels: federal government, state legislatures, federal and state courthouses and the public arena. Its member companies include large national insurance companies, mid-size regional writers, insurers doing business in a single state and specialty companies that serve specific niche markets. The company was established in January 2004 by the merger of the Alliance of American Insurers (Alliance) and the National Association of Independent Insurers (NAII). It is headquartered in Des Plaines, IL.
