Tunzini Nucléaire, a Vinci Energies company (lead contractor), and Spie Nucléaire have announced that they have signed a contract with EDF for studies on ventilation systems for future second-generation EPR (Evolutionary Power Reactor) reactors.

This contract is part of the possible installation in France by 2050 of six new latest-generation EPR2 reactors, each with a capacity of 1,670 MW, to meet the country's low-carbon energy needs.

To ensure the safety and reliability of the facilities, the ventilation systems will contain sensitive areas and remove smoke. They will also regulate temperatures and humidity levels in the facilities.
