Danish wind power company Vestas has received an order for 900 megawatts for a wind power project in Germany.

In a press release Vestas writes that it concerns RWE's offshore project Nordseecluster B.

The order includes the delivery of 60 V236-15.0 megawatt wind turbines, and Vestas will be responsible for delivery and commissioning. A five-year service agreement has also been signed, as well as a long-term operating support agreement.

The project will be implemented in two phases.

"We are pleased to contribute to this important project for Europe's offshore wind sector, which reflects our continued commitment to promoting clean energy solutions. We would like to thank RWE for many years of excellent cooperation, which has been instrumental in making this project a reality. We look forward to the successful delivery of the North Sea Cluster and to continuing to drive the transition towards a more sustainable future", says Vesta's Head of Northern and Central Europe, Nils de Baar.
