Vestas Wind Systems appointed Jakob Wegge-Larsen as its new chief financial officer, replacing Hans Martin Smith who stepped down last month.
The Danish wind-turbine maker said Wegge-Larsen joins Vestas from German logistics provider DB Schenker, where he currently serves as CFO. Prior to becoming CFO at DB Schenker in 2023, he held global and regional CFO roles within the Maersk Group, Hamburg Sud, and MSC Denmark.
Danish logistics company DSV last year agreed to buy DB Schenker for 11 billion euros ($11.34 billion) in cash, with completion of the deal expected in the second quarter of this year.
Rasmus Gram will continue as interim CFO of Vestas until Jakob Wegge-Larsen assumes the position during the second quarter of 2025.
