TAIPEI, Aug 5 (Reuters) - Taiwan's stock exchange will hold a press conference on Monday after the market close to calm investor fears after a plunge in the market on broader concerns about the U.S. economy and technology sector, sources said.
Taiwan stocks fell over 7% in mid-morning trade, with tech stocks including TSMC plunging as investors sold off one of Asia's top performing markets this year. (Reporting by James Pomfret; Editing by Christian Schmollinger)
