The automaker, which is currently focusing on inventory reduction, sees these figures as an improvement on the third quarter, when worldwide shipments were down 20% year-on-year.
"The term 'billings' refers to the volumes of vehicles delivered to our dealers, distributors or directly by the company to retail and fleet customers, which directly determine revenue recognition," says Stellantis in a statement.
On the North American market, fourth-quarter deliveries fell by around 115,000 units compared with the same period in 2023, representing a 28% year-on-year decline, reflecting the group's inventory reduction initiatives.
"The normalization of U.S. dealer inventories puts the company in a strong position to support the arrival of new Jeep, Ram and Dodge products in 2025," the group said of the North American market.
In Europe, Stellantis recorded a 6% year-on-year drop in deliveries in the fourth quarter.
