Seatrium Limited announced the appointment of Mr. Eng Aik Meng as a Non-executive and Non-Independent Director of Seatrium with effect from 1 March 2025. Mr. Eng Aik Meng, 55, has over 30 years of global business and operating experience in the healthcare and maritime industries, including a proven track record in private equity investments. He is currently Joint Head, Portfolio Development Group and Head, Operating Group at Temasek.

Mr. Eng is also a board member of 65 Equity Partners, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Temasek Holdings which focuses on investing in established family-owned and entrepreneur-led businesses, as well as Singapore-listed SATS Ltd. He was previously a Senior Advisor with TPG Capital. Prior to joining Temasek, Mr. Eng was co-founder of TE Asia Healthcare Partners, a company largely funded by TPG Capital to spearhead specialty healthcare investments in Asia, and Group CEO of TE Healthcare Advisory Pte Ltd. Mr. Eng successfully grew the business and exited it in 2024. Before joining the healthcare industry, Mr. Eng spent 18 years with Neptune Orient Lines in various leadership roles.

Mr. Eng graduated with a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from Nanyang Technological University and an MBA from Harvard University. Mr. Nagi Hamiyeh, a Non-Executive and Non-Independent Director, will step down from the Board at the coming Annual General Meeting of the Company on 23 April 2025. Following the appointment and immediately after the AGM, the composition of the Board will be as follows: Mr. Mark Gainsborough (Chairman and Independent Director); Mr. Yap Chee Keong (Deputy Chairman and Independent Director); Mr. Chris Ong Leng Yeow (Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer); Mr. Jan Holm (Independent Director); Ms. Ieda Gomes Yell (Independent Director); Mr. Sarjit Singh Gill (Independent Director); Ms. Astrid Skarheim Onsum (Independent Director); Ms. Mariel von Schumann (Independent Director); and Mr. Eng Aik Meng (Non-Executive and Non-Independent Director).
