Pfizer on Thursday said it will raise its quarterly dividend by 2.4%.
The New York-based drug company on Thursday said its board increased its cash dividend to 43 cents a share from 42 cents.
The new payout, equal to $1.72 a year, represents an annual yield of about of nearly 6.8%.
Pfizer Chief Executive Albert Bourla said the increase underscores the company's strong financial performance, execution and commitment to returning capital to shareholders.
Pfizer last raised its dividend about one year ago.
