Meridian Mining plc is focused on the development and exploration of the advanced stage Cabacal VMS gold-copper project, and on regional scale exploration of the Cabacal VMS belt in Mato Grosso, Brazil. Cabacal is a gold-copper-silver rich VMS deposit with the potential to be a standalone mine within the 50-kilometer (km) VMS belt. Its projects also include the Espigao Project and Santa Helena Project. The Espigao Project is located in the state of Rondonia, NW Brazil. The Espigao Project is located on the southwest margin of the Amazon Craton, on the western margin of the Proterozoic Rondonia-Juruena Province. An extensive network of mineralized structures extends over 200 square kilometers (km2) in the ore of the license area, and comprises base metal anomalous manganese veins, ferruginous breccias, gold-bearing quartz-pyrite veins and others. Its Santa Helena is a copper, gold, silver and zinc lead deposit located approximately10 km to the southeast of the Cabacal Mine area.
