The Companyâs segments include Wholesale, Retail, and Other. The Wholesale segment includes activity of generation of electricity and its sale into the wholesale electricity market; purchase of electricity, and development of renewable electricity generation opportunities. The Retail segment includes activity of retailing of electricity and complementary products through its two brands: Meridian and Powershop in New Zealand. It owns and operates seven hydro stations in New Zealand. The Company supplies electricity power for homes, businesses, and farms. It also has various wind farms and is also engaged in solar power generation.
