Epiroc Wins Large Mining Equipment Order in India

Epiroc awarded a large order for mining equipment and aftermarket support from Hindustan Zinc Limited in India. The equipment order is valued at about SEK 215 Million and was booked in the second quarter 2024. In addition, the equipment is backed up by a full service and maintenance contract for a period of six to eight years.

The ordered equipment includes Minetruck MT65 S, the Simba E70 S production drilling rig, the Boomer M2D face drilling rig, and the Cabletec M10 S rock-rein reinforcement rig. The "S" indicates the machines are part of the Smart series. Machine features include Epiroc's Rig Control System, RCS, which makes them ready for automation and remote control.

Deliveries will start in the third quarter 2024 and will continue into early 2025.

Epiroc AB is a Sweden-based productivity and sustainability partner for customers within mining and infrastructure. The Companyâs products are primarily used in hard rock applications. Epiroc develops and provides equipment such as drilling rigs, quarrying and construction equipment and tools for above-ground and underground applications. The company also offers service and other aftermarket support as well as solutions for automation, digitization and electrification. The Group has two reporting segments, Equipment & Service and Tools & Attachments. Equipment & Service provides mining and rock excavation equipment and related service and spare parts. Tools & Attachments provides rock drilling tools and hydraulic attachments that are attached to machines and mainly used for drilling, demolition and recycling as well as rock excavation.
