(Alliance News) - Enel Spa, led by CEO Flavio Cattaneo, has confirmed its commitment to Argentina after positive meetings with President Javier Milei during the G20 in Rio de Janeiro, Milano Finanza reports Wednesday.
The Edesur subsidiary is back to generating positive Ebitda, and the extension of the concession of the 1.3 GW El Chocón hydroelectric power plant strengthens the group's presence. For the period 2025-2027, investments of USD750.0 million in Edesur are planned, subject to appropriate regulatory conditions.
Enel Americas, the South American subsidiary, unveiled its 2025-2027 strategic plan, which forecasts cumulative Ebitda between USD14.50 billion and USD15.10 billion, with capex of USD7.50 billion. Of this, USD6.10 billion will be allocated to the grid sector to improve resilience and USD1.40 billion to power generation, with the goal of reaching 100 percent renewable capacity by 2027.
The plan targets annual Ebitda between USD5.20 billion and USD5.40 billion and profits between USD1.50 billion and USD1.70 billion by 2027, reflecting growth of 12 percent and 20 percent annually, respectively.
Enel Americas, honored as the highest earning company of the year among the 30 listed on the Santiago IPSA index, posted a third quarter profit of USD2.47 billion, surpassing Banco de Chile and Copec.
