Aug 7 (Reuters) - Continental reported adjusted earnings above analysts' expectations in its second-quarter results on Tuesday but lowered its annual outlook because of weaker demand for passenger cars in Europe and tire replacement in North America.
It now forecast 2024 sales to be in the range of 40-42.5 billion euros ($43.64-46.37 billion), down from its previous forecast of 41-44 billion euros.
The supplier kept its guidance for an annual adjusted earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) margin unchanged at 6-7%.
