Capstone Copper Corp. Reports Earnings Results for the Second Quarter and Six Months Ended June 30, 2024

Capstone Copper Corp. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2024. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was USD 393.05 million compared to USD 333.94 million a year ago. Net income was USD 29.35 million compared to net loss of USD 36.51 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.04 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of USD 0.05 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.04 compared to diluted loss per share from continuing operations of USD 0.05 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was USD 732.95 million compared to USD 669.53 million a year ago. Net income was USD 24.51 million compared to net loss of USD 56.51 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.03 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of USD 0.08 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.03 compared to diluted loss per share from continuing operations of USD 0.08 a year ago.

Company Profile

Capstone Copper Corp. is a copper producer operating in the Americas. It is engaged in the production of and exploration of base metals in the United States (US), Mexico, and Chile, with a focus on copper. The Company, through a wholly owned Chilean subsidiary, Mantos Copper S.A., owns and operates the Mantos Blancos mine, located 45 kilometers (km) northeast of Antofagasta, Chile and the 70%-owned Mantoverde mine, through a subsidiary, Mantoverde S.A., located 50 km southeast of Chanaral, Chile. It owns and operates the Pinto Valley mine located in Arizona, US, Cozamin mine located in Zacatecas, Mexico, and has a portfolio of exploration properties in Mexico. It also holds the fully permitted Santo Domingo copper-iron-gold-cobalt development project in the Atacama region of Chile, 35km northeast of Mantoverde. Through Compania Minera Sierra Norte S.A., it owns 100% of Sierra Norte, an iron oxide copper gold deposit located in Chile's Atacama Region, that spans over 7,000 hectares.
