Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P. (NYSE:BIP) entered into an agreement to acquire Rail Finance Lease Portfolio of Wells Fargo (NYSE:WFC) on May 29, 2025. The rail finance lease portfolio, composed of approximately 23,000 railcars and approximately 440 locomotives. GATX Corporation to serve as manager of the railcars in the finance lease railcars and locomotives directly owned by Brookfield Infrastructure.

In a separate but related transaction, GATX Corporation (NYSE:GATX) and Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P. (NYSE:BIP) also entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Rail Assets of Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE:WFC).
