While Hatfield's AI plays include Broadcom and Amazon, he also likes the latter for its cost-cutting measures, something he said was not yet "fully appreciated."

Hatfield also likes office real estate investment trusts, or REITs, which he said will benefit from interest rates coming down and more businesses requiring employees to return to their offices.
