(Alliance News) - BPER Banca Spa announced Wednesday that it has allocated a EUR1 billion ceiling for companies in the Marche region that want to invest in innovation, environmental sustainability, research and development, artificial intelligence, training and managerial growth.

"The initiative is aimed at companies of all sizes and wants to support three specific areas, which can also be traced back to the measures offered by the PNRR," the bank's statement reads.

The first of these aims to enhance the value of Made in Italy, thanks to state and European guarantees that support internationalization processes.

The second relates to digital innovation and energy efficiency plans and puts in place specific interventions aimed at encouraging projects that aim at environmental sustainability.

The third area of intervention, complementary to the other two, takes the form of assistance and accompaniment of businesses toward the solutions best suited to their needs through subsidized finance operations and attention to insurance coverage, through specific advice and dedicated products.

BPER Banca trades in the green by 0.7 percent at EUR5.47 per share.
