Bombardier announced on Thursday that the German Automobile and Road Users' Association, ADAC, has ordered a Challenger 650 to be configured as an ambulance aircraft.

The aircraft, with a range of 4000 miles (7408 km), will be used for transport and medical evacuation on behalf of ADAC customers worldwide.

The aircraft, which can accommodate up to four stretchers, is scheduled for delivery in 2026.

Aero-Dienst, ADAC's repatriation services subsidiary, currently operates a fleet of ambulances comprising two Dornier 328 and two Learjet 60XR jets, which are used to transport up to 1,000 patients a year for ADAC-Plus and ADAC-Premium members.
